Level 1 Course

A Level 1 Course is planned for 2012.

Course dates are: April 29th, May 27th, June 17th

Assessment date: July 22nd.

    Level 2 Course We are also going to run a Level 2 Course in Oxford starting this winter. Proposed dates are Jan 22nd, Feb 26th, March 25th, April 22nd, May 27th, June 24th, July 29th and Sept 23rd.

Please can you make a note in your diaries of the following events (useful for obtaining CPD points in addition to widening your knowledge):

  • The Triad State  + Performance Profiling  - October 27th  at Finchampstead  and November 1st at Harwell

  • Feedback from the FITA Conference and National Conference – December 8th at Finchampstead  and December 13th at Harwell
  • Coaching Group AGM + Topic tbd – February 16th at Finchampstead
  • Topics tbd – March 29th at Finchampstead  and April 5th at Harwell

    County Development Sessions.

The County Development Sessions are for:
 

Ø  All levels of club archer welcome (apart from beginners; must have completed a full beginners course)

Ø  All bow styles welcome

Ø  The aim will be to have 2 coaches for every 2-3 archers

Ø  All levels of coach should be present

    Berkshire Coach of the year 2011 We are looking for nominations for the Berkshire Archery Associations Coach of the year.
If you know of a coach in Berkshire who you believe worth nominating then please do so,
All nominations with a reason why to the CCO to be received before 1st Jan 2012.

      Coaching Courses Full details about the new Level 1 coaching course have now been released. There are a maximum of 12 places.

      Coach to Level 2 Update Details of the Coach to Level 2 update are now available.

In addition to these documents the candidate will also need to contact the Archery GB Coaching Officer to obtain the support pack, there is a charge of £4 for this pack and it is a required part of the update process.

Mission Statement
 
The Grand National Archery Society’s Coaching Organisation will provide World Class Coaching to all members of the Grand National Archery Society.

 

 Method statement.

 

The provision of World Class Coaching will enable all people in the sport of Archery regardless of age, race, sex or ability to achieve their own goals and aspirations.

 

All coaches who hold a GNAS licence to coach will subscribe to the ideals of World Class coaching by committing themselves to continuous professional development, using the guidelines as set out in the GNAS Coach Education Programme and to the requirements of the National Coaching Certificate.

 

By accepting the GNAS licence to coach, Coaches undertake to work within the sports code of ethics and child protection policy.

 

World Class in Coaching will provide Excellence in Archery.

Fun in Coaching will provide Fun in Archery.
